Duct splits are one of the most common ventilation systems due to their ability to provide high cooling and heating and efficiency. This system consists of an internal unit- air conditioner – and an external unit – condenser – connected to each other by copper tubes.
Cooling Cycle
The refrigeration cycle in duct splits is similar to air conditioners and splits, which includes compressors, condensers, expansion valves, operators and refrigerant phase changes.
In this cycle, the cooling gas inside the compressor, which plays the role of compressible fluid compressor with mechanical energy, is condensed, and due to this, and its high-pressure transfer to the condenser, the gas temperature increases significantly. By transferring to the condenser or condenser, the heat from the bite is taken and converted into a liquid state. Then, the liquid, while exiting the condenser and passing through the hair tube or expansion valve, suffers from severe pressure drop, which is some two-phase state (liquid/gas) and then transferred to the operator (evaporator). In the operator, which is a set of copper pipes and lattice aluminum plates that are embedded in the internal part of the machine, the refrigerant evaporates and takes on a gaseous state, while transferring its cold to the operator’s pipes. The air of the room enters the unit by circulating the inner fan butterfly from one side and passes through the cooled pipes of the operator loses its heat and cools and is injected into the desired environment with the help of the embedded fan. The evaporated refrigerant by the operator is returned to the cycle and condensed by the compressor, and this process continues in the same way.
Heating Cycle
The way of heating in duct splits is similar to fan coils because the hot water flow supplied by the engine room or packages by entering the device passes through the coils and heats them and the inlet airflow through the fans by passing through the heated coils, increases and is transferred to the desired environment with the help of the embedded fan.
